Tax return date looming

Taxpayers need to be mindful that self assessment tax returns must be filed online by 31 January.

Late submissions will attract a £100 penalty, so it is important to make sure returns are completed on time.

The filing date for paper returns was 31 October, which means that January returns must be made electronically.
